Today´s PostThe Dorchester from “Mannequin”
I’ve made no secret of my love for Mannequin over the past few months. As I’ve mentioned, my sole reason for heading to Philadelphia this past September was to stalk locales from the 1987 comedy, one of which was The Dorchester, the building where Jonathan Switcher’s (Andrew McCarthy) girlfriend Roxie (Carole Davis) lived. (You can read my posts on Jonathan’s apartment here and the eatery where Jonathan and Roxie dined here. And don’t worry, I will be writing an extensive article on Wanamaker’s department store […][continue reading...]

I am a struggling actress, who like most of America, is completely obsessed with all things celebrity! During my down time, I love finding movie filming locations and my favorite celebs’ homes. Everyone kept telling me I needed to either start a Hollywood tour company or a blog, so here I am. :) I have lived in LaLaLand for over a decade now, during which time I have accumulated a vast knowledge of filming locations from TV shows, movies and reality shows. It’s time I shared that knowledge with the world!
I am just slightly obsessed with Kristin Cavallari, Michael Buble, and Matt Lanter and I cannot live without a few daily Starbucks’ Iced Lattes and US Magazine.
Last Friday, Mike, from MovieShotsLA, and I set out to do a little Pasadena stalking. Who knew that our day would hold the stalking adventure to end all stalking adventures! ...
Well, it finally happened! Yesterday was the big day! The reality TV event of the season! What I'm sure was for some fans the wedding of the century! I, of ...
My dad is not a big fan of Hollywood. And by Hollywood I mean the industry, not the town. He can't stand all of the overindulged, self-absorbed actors, even though ...
Got one of the most exciting phone calls of my life on Tuesday! A good friend who has an in at the Project Beach House in Malibu called to invite ...
We all have those movies – the ones that affected us so much upon first viewing, they left a lasting imprint on our hearts. Sleepless in Seattle is one such movie for me. As I mentioned in this 2010 post about the houseboat from the 1993 romcom, I still remember exactly where I was the first time I saw it and have my ticket stub tucked away in a box. The film had an immediate visceral effect on me – and still does to this […]
After what amounted to a nearly two-year stalking hiatus, Mike, from MovieShotsLA, is finally back! Let me reverse a bit and explain. Over the past couple of years, Mike has been busy working in production (yep, he actually toils away on movie sets now!), which hasn’t left much time for tracking down locations. I was having some trouble with a locale this past week, though, and on a whim decided to see if he could lend a hand. Mike was game and, lo and behold, […]
Be sure to check out my latest article for Mike the Fanboy – it’s about my recent fabulous encounter with Edward Norton in New York City.
I am not really that into stalking celebrity homes (though I have quite a few of them on my site), the main reason being that typically little else besides a gate can be seen from the road. There are some exceptions, though. If there is a star I really like, or if I read about a residence in a book, or if a significant event happened there, or if the look of a place piques my interest, I am most definitely going to want to […]
I consider myself to be a pretty good stalker, but my good friend Lavonna puts me to shame. Prior to my recent trip to Washington, D.C. with the Grim Cheaper, I painstakingly researched filming locations and area landmarks to check out while we were in town and compiled an extensive list of must-see places. So imagine my surprise when, while strolling around Georgetown, I received a text from Lavonna asking if we were planning to dine at Martin’s Tavern, the spot where, as legend has […]
