    The “Four Christmases” Dance Studio

I can hardly believe it, but the Christmas season is upon us again!  It seems like just yesterday I was hanging out in a pool celebrating my 40th birthday in June!  I hate how fast time seems to pass, but I do love the holidays and am thrilled to finally be covering a Yuletide-themed locale.  Today’s post comes courtesy of my good friend Mike, from MovieShotsLA, who a few years back worked for a production company with offices all over the L.A. area, including the […]

    About Me

I am a struggling actress, who like most of America, is completely obsessed with all things celebrity! During my down time, I love finding movie filming locations and my favorite celebs’ homes. Everyone kept telling me I needed to either start a Hollywood tour company or a blog, so here I am. :) I have lived in LaLaLand for over a decade now, during which time I have accumulated a vast knowledge of filming locations from TV shows, movies and reality shows. It’s time I shared that knowledge with the world!

I am just slightly obsessed with Kristin Cavallari, Michael Buble, and Matt Lanter and I cannot live without a few daily Starbucks’ Iced Lattes and US Magazine.

Thornton Gardens from “Funny Girl”

I have never been a big Barbra Streisand fan.  Sure, she’s an undeniably talented singer – and actress and director, for that matter – but I’m just not that into music.  And that whole Rosie-O’Donnell-having-to-rearrange-her-stage-to-showcase-Barbra’s-better-side thing really turned me off.  I won’t even get in to her absolutely cringe-worthy Inside the Actors Studio interview.  Nevertheless, when I came upon this 2016 Outlook Newspapers article which mentioned that the movie Funny Girl had done some filming at a house located at 1155 Oak Grove Avenue in […]

The Site of Sanford and Son Salvage from “Sanford and Son”

There’s pretty much nothing I relish more than diving into the nitty-gritty when proving or disproving a location – especially if that location is from an old production and/or is no longer in existence.  I love the challenge of it.  I recently had the pleasure of delving into one such case thanks to a fellow stalker named Dale who emailed me in October to ask if I had any information on Sanford and Son Salvage from Sanford and Son.  I never watched the hit series, […]

My Day on the Set of “The Goldbergs”

I debated titling this post “How The Goldbergs altered my Thanksgiving.”  The Grim Cheaper and I were introduced to the ABC series, which is like an ‘80s-set The Wonder Years, last fall and quickly became hooked.  We plowed through all of the episodes in just a few weeks and found each to be poignant, nostalgic and moving.  One in particular affected us more than others, though.  While watching Season 2’s “A Goldberg Thanksgiving,” in which matriarch Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey) attempts to impart her holiday meal […]

Richard Simmons’ House

I, along with the rest of the world, became absolutely transfixed by the first season of Serial, the 2014 podcast hosted by Sarah Koenig which detailed the murder of Baltimore teenager Hae Min Lee and the subsequent conviction of her ex-boyfriend Adnan Syed for the killing.  Not only did the Grim Cheaper and I listen to the entire thing three times through, but we also voraciously devoured Truth and Justice (née Serial Dynasty) and Undisclosed, two of Serial’s unaffiliated offshoots that further investigated the crime.  […]

My Latest Article for “L.A.” Mag – A DIY Film Locations Tour

The December 2017 issue of Los Angeles magazine hit newsstands last week, featuring an article by yours truly.  The blurb, which can be found on page 93, is a detailed itinerary for a tour of twenty L.A.-area film locales.  If you can’t get your hands on a copy, don’t worry – the article can also be found online here.  Enjoy!
